Worship Through Liturgy
The outline of our service, the liturgy, has roots in the Jewish synagogue service of Jesus' day with its readings and expositiong of the Word of God. To this pattern the Church added the celebration of the Lord's Supper. By the second and third century there were written prayers to guide the worship of the celerant and the poeple. We gladly continue this long tradition of allowing the prayers of the Church to shape our hearts.
How you can be involved:
- Become a part of the prayer team.
- Become a Lay Eucharistic Minister (you don't have to go to seminary!)
- Join the acolyte team (there's more to it that just being an acolyte!)
- Offer up the prayers of the people on Sunday morning.
